Satan is Still Using the same Old Schemes to get Us to Doubt God.

I know I’m not alone when I say I sometimes struggle to hear the voice of God.

I hear other people say similar things like:

“I don’t know if God said this or not.”

“I don’t know if that’s God’s voice or satan’s voice.. or my own voice.”

“I don’t know what God wants for my life because He doesn’t tell me.”

Oh, how I’ve felt each of these sentiments deeply myself.

But I always try to remind myself that questioning what God said was literally satan’s first attack on humanity...

It’s also what created the fall of mankind.

Remember in the garden? Adam and Eve were told my God Himself not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, because if they do they’ll die? (Genesis 2:17)

Yet, in the very next chapter we see the serpent (aka Satan) approaching the two of them and inserting doubt into their mind about God.

“Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden?’” (Genesis 3:1)

He goes on to convince them that they surely won’t die if they do eat from it.

Which of course they do... which leads to the devastating separation between God and humans.

It makes me mad that satan is still using this same weapon of doubt to get to us.

He’s still making us question, “did God really say that?”

Did God really say I’m actually forgiven?

Did God really say He has a good plan for my life?

Did God really say He cares about me?

Did God really say He would fight for me?

Did God really say He’ll meet my needs?

Did God really say I’ll get to spend eternity with Him?

Yes.

He said it.

And even if He only “said it once” it stands true for all of eternity because His Word never changes.

Don’t let the enemy steal what God is offering you.

Don’t let him destroy the beautiful, intimate relationship God wants to share with you.

God said what He said and He meant it.

He meant it for you, friend.

And no matter how the enemy tries to twist and manipulate it, it will never change.

Stand on the truth of His word.

Because the enemy can’t beat God.
