Do you ever feel just so... I don’t know.. lost?
I have been feeling so unsure of myself, my purpose, and life in general.
My thoughts are jumbled and everything feels like a big question mark.
Honestly, I hate feeling like this. Because it makes me feel like I’m drifting in my faith, too.
I start asking, God where are you?! Why aren’t you talking back to me?
So, today I finally got some quiet time and started asking God some things.
Who am I?
What do you want me to do, God?
Somewhere in my soul I heard:
Just be with me.
Be still, know who I am.
With these whispers I picture myself climbing under a mighty wing and just hiding there. With Him, in His safety.
It’s my favorite place in the world.
The truth is, I don’t know me outside of Jesus.
But when I’m with Him, it becomes much more clear.
I can try with all my might to make something out of myself.
But I’ve already been made into someone by the Creator.
I’m much better off walking in that than whatever I’m trying to create for me.
So I sit with Him, and let Him remind me who He made me to be.
This is where I start to see clearer again.
In the refuge of my God.
Friend, if you are feeling confused, lost or just simply overwhelmed, don’t forget to go to your Creator.
He holds your identity.
He holds the future.
He holds the truth.
And He wants to give it to you.
You might just find that under that wing, in that secret place, you become more aware of who you are than ever before.
And that place, that holy spot made just for you.. it might just become your favorite place in the world.
Just as it was created to be.
