If You Follow Jesus, Be Prepared For What’s to Come.

Updated: Feb 22, 2021

If you really want to follow Jesus, be prepared.

People will mock you, criticize your beliefs, and try to make you question yourself and your God.

You'll start to wonder where you fit in. Who is okay with you having these beliefs? You might find that in order to fit in, you'll be tempted to keep your faith a secret.

Your faith will be tested because many things in this world will tell you your faith is wrong.

You will start to feel convicted about things you never used to feel convicted about, and you may find some things in your life will need to change. Your eyes will be opened in a way you might not expect.

You will experience spiritual attacks because the enemy will do whatever he can to get you off track and away from God’s plan. He hates that you are seeking God.

You will start to realize that following Jesus is not all warm and fuzzy. It’s not all about comfort and ease.

Be prepared, because following Jesus can be hard.

But there's more you should be prepared for.

Be prepared to experience hope when things appear hopeless, and peace when things are chaotic.

Your identity will change into something that is no longer about you, but about who He is. You'll find that your worth cannot be shaken because your worth is found in the One who is perfect.

You will start to do things you never imagined you would do. All of a sudden you are taking leaps of faith and seeing that God is faithful to what He calls you to do.

You’re whole perspective on life will change and all of this stuff on earth will no longer have power over you as it once did.

You will crave time with your Savior. You won't be able to help but worship Him.

Be prepared, friend, if you are going to follow Jesus.

Because what you will find is the astounding and unconditional love of your Savior that will change absolutely everything...

In the best possible way.
