I hate waiting.
I think we all do.
I like to preach the message that “there is beauty in the waiting period” and not to “miss out on what’s around you as you wait.”
And that’s true.
Yet, there is a lot of pain and agony in the waiting, too.
In fact, the waiting can break us.
If we don’t have hope.
It’ll break us if we don’t know the One who knows exactly when the waiting is over.
I am reminded again and again that God really does have perfect timing.
He really does give us good gifts we don’t deserve.
But it might look very different than what we hoped, and might take longer than we want.
Yet, He always redeems
He always restores.
Whether on earth or in Heaven, God makes things right.
His promises never come back void.
So you may be waiting and aching and begging Him to change things, and that’s understandable.
But remember that He already has the exact moment planned out, down to the millisecond, where you will no longer be in the waiting.
He isn’t trying to figure your life out, it’s been figured out since before time began.
Breathe.
Let yourself feel.
Hold on to the hope that your good Father has a good plan for you.
I often hear people say, “thank God it didn’t go my way.”
And thank God we aren’t in charge of our own plan.
Because His is so much better.
He will redeem what’s been broken in you, and you will see His goodness.
It’s only a matter of time.
Of His perfect time.
“Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.” Psalm 130:7
