To the Person in the Waiting Period

Updated: Dec 18, 2020

Friend, do you find yourself in the waiting period?

The spot where you‘re scared because you don’t know what’s going to happen next?

You don’t know if things will go the way you hope they will...or if everything will fall to pieces?

It’s such a hard place to be.

I want to encourage you today.

I want to remind you that it’s in the waiting period that we get to show the enemy how strong our faith in God is.

It’s during this time that we can declare, “I don’t know how this is going to turn out, but my God does. He is so much bigger than my situation and He wants good for me.”

It’s during the waiting period that we cling on to Jesus in a desperate, beautiful way.

This type of dependence helps us live like we were always meant to - with our arms up in surrender and our hope in Him alone.

You see, these waiting periods, they show you what you’re made of.

But more importantly, they show you what God is made of.

No matter how this journey ends, you can still use this time to seek the Lord like never before.

And maybe, just maybe, that’s going to change the rest of your life in ways you can’t even fathom.

I know it’s easy to hate the waiting, but someday you will look back and see the fruit that came from it.

A stronger faith.

A more reliant heart for God.

A whole new perspective.

He works in our waiting.

None of this goes in vain.

Hang in there, because He knows exactly what to do.
